Who We Are

One team, under one roof.

TRC Homes is a home renovation company in Cork, run by Adrian and Fiona — the same business you may know as The Renovation Centre, now under one clear name. We take older Cork houses and turn them into warm, modern family homes, and we do the whole thing with our own team rather than a network of subcontractors.

That is the whole idea. On most renovations a homeowner ends up juggling an architect, a structural engineer, a quantity surveyor and a builder — four separate people, each working to their own brief, none of them accountable for the others. It is where budgets slip, drawings arrive that no one can afford to build, and the person left in the middle is you.

We collapse all of that into one accountable team. Design, costing, engineering and build sit under one roof, so there is one plan, one point of contact, and one team you can hold to account from the first walk-through to the final key.

How We’re Different

The difference with TRC is not a longer list of services — it is that one team owns all of them. Here is what that means in practice.

We design your home ourselves

We draw the whole house in 4D before a block is laid, so you can walk the rooms and choose the kitchen and finishes for yourself. The surprises happen on screen, at the design stage — not on site, where they are expensive to fix.

We price and sign off the work ourselves

Our own in-house quantity surveyor costs the job properly rather than guessing it, and a structural engineer signs the project off — no stitching together an architect’s drawing, an engineer’s cert and a builder’s quote that were never meant to fit.

We start with an honest conversation

The first consultation is free — often two or three meetings, no charge and no obligation. You bring your budget and your wish list, and we tell you straight what is realistic before you commit to anything.

We handle the energy side and the grants

As part of a deep retrofit we take older Cork homes from a low E, F or G rating up toward a warm B2. We guide the grant side and work with a registered grant agent who runs the SEAI application, so the funding is built into your quote up front.
